What you can build
A landing page for a service or product, a website for a café or salon with a menu and bookings, an online store with product cards and a cart, a site for an expert or a course, a portfolio. The agent has built-in skills for sites like these: they suggest what belongs above the fold, how to present prices and how the site should look on a phone.
Step 1. Prepare your brief
The more precise the brief, the fewer edits you’ll need. Put everything you already have into one folder and answer a few questions for yourself:
- What the business is and who the site is for: who your customers are and what they should do on the site — call, book, buy.
- Which sections you need: services, prices, reviews, contacts, FAQ.
- Copy, prices, address, phone number, opening hours — everything that has to be exactly right on the site.
- Photos and a logo, if you have them. If not, the agent will choose a design without them.
- A couple of websites you like — links help match the style.
Step 2. Create a chat and connect a folder
In NEO Desktop, create a new chat and connect the folder with your materials. The agent will work only inside it: it will create the website files there and use your photos and copy.
Step 3. Describe the task
Describe the goal, not the technology: the agent picks the tools itself. For example:
Make a one-page website for a coffee shop called “The Bean” in Austin. The main thing: someone on a phone should quickly find the address, opening hours and menu. Sections: a hero with “Call” and “Directions” buttons, a menu with prices (in menu.txt), photos of the place (the photos folder), reviews, contacts with a map. Style: warm and cozy, like the sites listed in refs.txt.
Step 4. Agree on the plan
For a big task, the agent first writes a plan — which pages and sections it will build and in what order. If something is missing, it asks a question as a card with answer options instead of guessing. Fix the plan now: it’s cheaper than redoing a finished site.
Step 5. Review the result
The agent runs the site and tests it in the built-in browser: it opens the page, clicks the buttons and checks how it looks at different screen widths. You see the site next to the chat in the App section and can switch the device — Computer, iPhone or Android.
Step 6. Make edits
The easiest way to give feedback is right on the page: click “Element comment,” point at the spot and write what to change. The agent gets a snapshot of the element plus your text — no need to explain in words where exactly the button is.
- Batch your edits: five notes in one message beat five messages in a row.
- Talk about the outcome: “the booking button is hard to see on a phone,” not “change the color to #ff0000.”
- If you like something, say so too, so the agent doesn’t redo what works.
Step 7. Publish
A finished website is a folder of files on your computer. The agent will explain how to put it on hosting and prepare everything needed. NEO plans also include their own hosting: Pro gets one project that runs around the clock, Max gets three projects and a custom domain.
