NEO is an AI agent for working with code, files and ideas. There are two ways to use it: the free web chat in your browser and the NEO Desktop app for Mac and Windows, where the agent works with files, the terminal and the browser on its own.

A chatbot answers with text, and the rest is up to you: copying code, creating files, running it, hunting for bugs. An agent goes through those steps itself: it opens the project files, writes and runs code, checks the result in the built-in browser and fixes errors until everything works.

No. You can describe the task in plain words — for example, “make a website for a coffee shop with a menu and bookings.” The agent picks the technology, writes the code and shows you the result. If you’re a developer, NEO is useful too: it works with existing projects and commands.

Websites (landing pages, online stores, portfolios), web services, apps for Mac and Windows, Telegram mini apps and bots, simple games, copy for websites and social media, and analysis of spreadsheets and data. The website and the app are translated into 14 languages. You can write to the agent and the models in any language, and the reply comes back in the same one.

The web chat has models from Anthropic, OpenAI, DeepSeek and Z.ai: Claude, GPT, DeepSeek and GLM. You pick a model for each chat and can switch at any time. Each model is described on the Models page.

Yes. You get a free number of messages and images every day, and the limit resets at midnight your time. Sign up so your conversations are saved to your account.

Yes. The model decides on its own when it needs fresh information, searches for it and shows the sources under the answer. Research mode reads many pages at once and writes a detailed answer with links.

Yes. Turn on Image mode and describe the picture: the model you chose turns your request into a detailed prompt, and a dedicated image model draws it. You can open the finished image full screen and download it.

The web chat is a conversation with a model in your browser: answers, search, images. It doesn’t work with files or run commands. The NEO Desktop app is an agent on your computer: it creates and edits files, runs code in the terminal and tests websites in the built-in browser.

On a Mac with Apple Silicon (M1 or newer) running macOS 13 or later, and on Windows 10 and 11 with an x64 processor. The latest installers and checksums are on the Download page, and step-by-step installation is in the guide.

The app isn’t signed with Apple and Microsoft certificates yet, so macOS and Windows warn about an unknown developer. Allow it to run once, and after that NEO opens as usual. To make sure the file hasn’t been tampered with, compare its SHA-256 checksum with the one on the Download page.

The app is free to download, and the agent in it runs on the Pro, Max and Ultra plans. Payments for plans open soon; until then you can use the free web chat.

The agent works in the folder you connected to the chat. Every command and every changed file is visible in the conversation. In “Ask first” mode, the agent performs important actions only after you allow them; Auto mode, with no confirmations, is turned on separately and after a warning. For important projects, keep a backup or use git.

Yes. The agent’s reply comes step by step: an explanation, a command, a changed file. It runs long commands in the built-in terminal, where you see the output, and actions on websites in the built-in browser, where you can step in at any moment.

No. The AI models run in the cloud, so both the web chat and the app need an internet connection. Your project files stay on your computer.

The web chat is free. Paid plans — Pro ($20 per month), Max ($100) and Ultra ($200) — are on the way: they will include the NEO Desktop agent for websites and apps with a monthly credit package. The free plan will stay.

Paid plans have no separate limits on messages, images and research: everything draws on one monthly credit budget at the real cost of the model. Powerful models use it up faster. A weekly limit keeps you from spending the budget in a couple of days, and when it runs out, you can buy more credits.

Web chat conversations and images are stored on the NEO server and are available only to you after you sign in; your password is stored as a hash. To get an answer, your message is sent to the chosen model via OpenRouter. The NEO Desktop app works with files right on your computer.

You can delete all chats together with the images you created in the web chat: “Account → Data → Delete all chats.” A single chat is deleted from its menu in the chat list.
